Scientific Name: Anubias Barteri
Common Names: Anubias barteri Petite Round, anubias petite round
Anubias Barteri is a great beginner plant for any tank. You can't kill this plant unless you go out of your way to do it. Anubias Barteri grows by having a horizontal rhizome and producing vertical leaves. It is similar to Anubias Nana, but it gets bigger leaves. When planting the Anubias Barteri, do not bury the rhizome in your substrate. Only bury the roots or attach them to driftwood or rocks.
Care Level: Easy
Light: Low
CO2: Not Necessary but can promote growth
Fertilizer or Shrimp Safe Fertilizer
Propagation: Separate by rhizome
You can propagate this plant by cutting the rhizome in half and moving the cutting to another area. We recommend leaving 2-3 leaves per section. This will allow both cuttings to keep growing.
Note: Please do additional research on your plant to ensure its health.
*All Plants may contain snails or snail eggs. We keep them in all of our tanks for the benefits they provide.*
The order was prompt and everything was healthy enough. The Anibias Barteri is particularly thriving with new growth being seen in the first few days! Thanks Flip Aquatics!
The anubais bartering is a very good plant. It adds great contrast to my ember tetras.
I ordered several plants. They arrived in great shape despite the USPS leaving them in our mailbox in the middle of winter. The box was clearly marked Live Plants but our mail person ignored it. I believe it was the excellent packaging with the insulation that saved them. They are healthy and doing fine.
